Kerry founded Altimus in 2008, after more than ten years of embedded systems and DSP software, leading design teams, and managing product development and manufacturing in public and privately held technology companies. His role with Altimus involves collaborating with clients to ensure their project goals are realized, overseeing general project strategy, as well as continually staying immersed in the events of the local and global technology community.
Kerry holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Communications specialization) from the University of Victoria, a Diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and is a frequent guest speaker with local colleges and universities on self employment and career advancement.
He takes a keen interest in emerging technologies, 3D printing, photography, music composition, and automotive design. As a former technology product reviewer and writer, Kerry often can be found evaluating influential technology products to further his personal and Altimus' collective knowledge of the industry.
Bruce directs design at Altimus and has 15 years of industry experience, having worked for several design consultancies in the development of products ranging from cleantech, zero emissions vehicles, outdoor equipment, and industrial electronics with an emphasis on rugged, portable and IP rated products.
Bruce’s expertise lies in his ability to combine an understanding of human factors, technological trends, and biological systems to tackle the massive changes that face society. He has designed lithium-ion battery packs for hybrid cars, grid tied solar inverters for power conversion, digital dashboards for electric vehicles and diagnostic devices for technicians that enable energy management and conservation. From mobile GPS and cellular devices that save lives to recycling bins for hotels, he is a proven designer who can seamlessly transition from the creative and conceptual phases to advising clients on mechanical detailing and manufacturing techniques.
Born in Vancouver, Canada, Bruce has a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from the University of Victoria and a Masters of Environmental Design, specializing in Sustainable Product Design from the University of Calgary.
Miroslav leads all embedded systems development at Altimus, both hardware and software development.
Miroslav has over twenty years of experience in analog, digital and embedded system design for telecommunications, wireless communications, industrial and consumer applications. His latest work includes developing the Altimus ARM System on Modules which power a variety of automotive and industrial products.
Miroslav holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. When he is not working, he enjoys reading, opera and the arts, and outdoor activities including ountaineering, skiing, and diving. He has a black belt in karate.
Michelle manages Finance, Accounting, and offshore vendor procurement at Altimus.
With an extensive background in fast-paced, high volume contract manufacturing and production coordination, Michelle brings essential skills to Altimus Operations and Supply Chain management. Michelle holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her previous positions include Senior Program Supervisor with global Top 50 Electronics Manufacturing Services providers such as VTech Communications Ltd. and Computime Limited.
Devin is an industrial designer passionate about various aspects of product and experience design. With experiences at design consultancies in the US and Scandinavia, he enjoys uncovering research insights and opportunities and transforming them into viable strategies, concepts, and products.
Originally from Taiwan, Devin has a B.Sc. in Product Design from Art Center College of Design in California and a previous B.ASc. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
